The 8th Asia-Pacific M&A Moot Competition

The “Asia-Pacific M&A Moot Competition” is an annual event that invites university students from across the Greater China region to compete. Students form small groups of 6 compete with each other in conducting simulated mergers and acquisitions based on real life cases. The competition began in 2012 and the 8th M&A Moot Competition was co-organized by the HKU Faculty of Law and the China Mergers & Acquisition Association (CMAA), involving a total of 16 teams with around 100 university students from Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China and Taiwan. The M&A Moot helped promote communication among universities in the Asia-Pacific region, and has successfully realized the integration and cooperation between different subjects.
