Dalian Maritime University Summer Internship

In order to promote the development of Hong Kong's shipping industry and to train professionals in shipping law, the HKSAR government allocated a special fund in 2008 to fund the exchanges between the School of Law at Dalian Maritime University and the School of Law at the University of Hong Kong. Since 2008, the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong has organized students to visit Dalian Maritime University Law School each summer to participate in study activities and practical internships.

 

The program consists of special lectures, visits, exchanges and practical internships. Dalian Maritime University has pooled resources from the entire school including its high quality teaching and scientific research to create the best environment for Hong Kong students studying mainland shipping law. 

 

After the launch of the "Teacher-Student Exchange Program for Higher Education Institutions in Hong Kong and Mainland China" by the Ministry of Education in 2013, the summer training program was included in the funding scope of the Ministry of Education. With the support of the Ministry of Education, the Law School at Dalian Maritime University has continuously optimized the content of the project, and gradually turned the summer training program for Hong Kong university students into a high-quality project in the field of foreign cooperation and exchange. In 2018, the Ministry of Education confirmed that the project was opened to universities in Macau for the first time.
